Lingering ghosts of war haunt the hearts of those who live in its wake. The pain and loss we feel as we remember our loved ones, the sights and sounds of battle, the terror that comes with the knowledge that we may never see them again... it is all too much for us sometimes.

This is what I try to capture in my art: not just the fear of death, but also the fear of survival. Not just the sorrow of loss, but also the hope for peace.
