Recently I went to get a colonoscopy and the doctor detected a growth; that if not removed, would develop into cancer.
...I just watched the new BlackPanther: Wakanda Forever movie. They did a marvelous job of paying tribute to Chadwick Boseman's King T'Challa character.
It was moving and I got emotional for two reasons.
1) I was lucky—that Boseman's passing raised awareness about colon cancer and encouraged me to take action before it was too late. I am thankful for that.
2) It's always moving when you see the life and work of someone who has passed away so young—especially someone with such immense talent as Chadwick Boseman had. He was on his way to being one of the all-time greats when he died at 43 years old.
This is my tribute to Chadwick Boseman: Rest In Power, King.
I encourage anyone who hasn't had a colonoscopy exam, to get one because Colorectal cancers are the third-most-frequent type of new cancer in men (right behind prostate and lung).
